The Pet Rescue Center app for iPhone and iPad
We are more than just a Rescue Group! We strive to make a substantial, positive impression on the pet community.
We combine existing efforts used by Rescue Groups to create a more efficient rescue process by working cooperatively with rescue groups, veterinarians, shelters, pet stores and the community.
We create positive relationships with Kill and No Kill Shelters by reviewing their PTS (Put to Sleep) lists for pets to save, and Special Needs lists for medical cases that we can treat in house to ensure their adoption.
We provide a no-kill, veterinary supervised temporary sanctuary with office hours and storefront atmosphere for these pets while we work to locate an adopting family.
We have a state-of-the-art, safe & clean facility, boarding, training and a caring staff at our advantage to provide a complete service to the rescue and adoption movement.
We incorporate a fresh, environmentally friendly, creative marketing approach for adoptions including an interactive website, e-newsletters, media, events, and store front meet & greets.
We sponsor medical treatments of special needs or victimized dogs & cats and of our rescued pets as needed including but not limited to spay/neuter, microchips and vaccines.
We provide communities with education and resource support for pet care (nutritional & behavioral issues), children & pets safety outreach and pet therapy.
We have a Pet Pantry for Seniors and the Unemployed which provides free pet food and cat litter to those who qualify. Our goal is to help families care for their pets and prevent unnecessary owner surrenders to our local shelters.
We have developed the following programs to provide effective solutions to this cause that are seldom provided elsewhere:
• The Rescue Effort - rescue. rehab. rehome.
We network with other vets, shelters, rescue groups and the community throughout all of California, to rescue dogs and cats from situations that without our intervention would result in the unnecessary euthanasia.
• Medical Needs
We provide for all medical needs of our rescues while under our care. Cases range from common shelter illnesses like kennel cough to complex surgeries such as amputations due to nerve damage. We provide customized care according to each unique case.
• Pet Pantry
The Pet Rescue Center hopes to prevent animal surrenders to local shelters due to financial restrictions of pet owners. The Pet Pantry was established to assist qualifying pet owners with their pet food needs during these trying times.
• Volunteer Program
Our rescues directly benefit from the generosity of our volunteer program. Our volunteers help us maintain our facility, our program, the general well being and the socialization of our dogs and cats that stay with us until finding their own family.
• Community Outreach
We go out into the community for scheduled speaking engagements, we provide educational materials, we feature an "Ask the Doctor" at our PRC events we attend and provide a resource directory to the public through email and phone conversations to the community for pet rescue needs, emergency needs, financial needs, and shelter guidance.
• Youth Education
We strive to educate kids (ages Pre-K thru 6) about Rescue, Rehab and Rehoming homeless dogs and cats and the importance of proper pet care. We do this through tours of our facility and speaking engagements.
